ISO 9001:2000 compliance 1 year ahead of schedule
In November 2002, TEAL Electronics Corporation (San Diego, CA) was audited and certified to ISO 9001:2000 by DNV (Det Norske Veritas), more than 1 year ahead of the deadline. TEAL was among the first wave of companies to be certified to the newest standards in 2002. All applicable organizations are required to be registered/certified to ISO 9001:2000 by December 15, 2003. TEAL Electronics was originally certified by DNV to the 1994 release of ISO 9002 in 1995.
The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9000 standards are a set of international quality management system standards and guidelines. The newest revision of ISO 9001 is based on eight quality management principles that reflect best management practices. These principles include customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, factual approach to decision making, and mutually beneficial supplier relationships. These new ISO principles also align with TEAL’s own principles to better assist TEAL in meeting or exceeding our customer’s expectations.
TEAL Electronics is the leading provider of custom power subsystems for the technology sector, primarily serving the medical imaging and semiconductor production/testing markets.
