Operations - Mexico - TPE Tecate
TEAL owns it's own Maquiladora, TPE Tecate (which stands for TEAL Power Electronics, Tecate). The facility is located in the scenic mountains of Tecate, Mexico, approximately 50 miles southeast of our San Diego headquarters.
TEAL currently uses the TPE faciltiy to produce our transformers and magnetics, wiring harnesses, and other sub-assemblies as well as several high volume product lines. TPE Tecate is certified to ISO under the same ISO 9001:2008 certificate as TEAL San Diego.
TEAL manufactures power subsystems worldwide using
ISO 9001:2008 certified processes. Vertically integrated transformer manufacturing enables TEAL to provide industry leading flexibility and lead times. Our world-class manufacturing is based on the following principles:

detail of this final shipping documentation attests to the quality system that each
product passes through before each shipment.
Quick design cycles for product modifications, changes, and new product requests.
Design changes are typically evaluated and implemented in 6 weeks or less.
Our short lead-times and excellent on-time delivery history is in part a result of
our demand based and Intra-net enabled manufacturing system. Our manufacturing floor uses
only on-line drawings reflecting the latest customer and engineering changes.
Typical lead times after production start is 3 ½ weeks.
